Car Prowls in Garage
Canal North shared they had vehicles prowled in their garage.  A couple days later, one of our own residents reported that thieves had broken into his vehicle. In most cases, prowlers and thieves have simply followed our residents in to the garage and made themselves at home.  It might take a few more minutes, but please protect yourself and your neighbors by waiting for the garage door to fully close.
 
Tis the Season for Holiday Boxes
With the increase in boxes, our maintenance team is spending more time than necessary breaking down cardboard.  Please remember to bring your large boxes to the First Floor Trash room and lay them in the recycle bins flattened.  Thanks so much in advance for your help!
 
Luxer Help for the Holidays
If you have two people in your home with separate Luxer accounts and are having a hard time keeping track of what has been picked up, talk to Lana about combining accounts.  Having all notifications on one account should simplify things tremendously.  Also, if you forget a parcel and need back into the room, email Luxer at [email protected] or call 415.390.0123; they can help you!

Luxer Room: Updated Information

It has been just over two weeks since the Luxer System was installed and available for use.  We have had some terrific feedback and compliments!  We have had over 500 parcels delivered to the room in 16 days!
 
In last night’s board meeting we changed reviewed the time parcels are held in the room and the fee schedule.  The board also reviewed some challenges we’ve encountered with the room and has implemented some rules to help manage it:
  •  Parcels left over 72 hours (3 days) will be automatically returned, unless residents utilize the “hold feature” in their Luxer account.  The hold feature shall only be used when residents are out of town.
  • Residents shall not allow others into the parcel room. Each resident shall sign into the room when picking up packages.
  • Residents are under surveillance in the parcel room.  Residents must ensure the door is locked/latched behind them when leaving. 
We also wanted to ensure everyone had some handy tips on how to make the most use of your LuxerOne account. Soon, I will have a few tutorials on how to:
  • Place your account on HOLD.
  • Work with Luxer to get back into the closet if you forgot a parcel
  • ….and possibly a tutorial for outgoing parcels!

Parcel Room Launch Begins Monday

​Starting on Monday, November 12, you will no longer have to spend any time worrying about package delivery. We have partnered with a company called Luxer One to make sure you get your packages safely and efficiently without rushing to get home before the front desk closes. Luxer One has installed a secure package room in the building located in the Lobby adjacent to the front desk. Going forward, all packages will be delivered to the parcel room. Everyone who lives at Canal Station will automatically have FREE access to this service.
 
If your email address is not accepted by the system, please click “Create an account” on the login page. You will receive prompts to manually enter your email address, set up your password, and connect your account with your unit number.
 
How Luxer One Works
  • Order whatever you like online and enter your address and unit number as you always would. Your shipping address remains the same.
  • Once your package has been delivered into the Luxer Package Room, you will receive an email (and/or text message, if you opt in) with an access code to open the room. Enter your access code on the Luxer One touch screen at the iPad and the room will open where your package is securely stored.
  • Take your package out of the Luxer Package Room and close the door. Please make sure the package is addressed to you.
 
Repeat these steps every time you receive a package! There’s no limit on how many packages you can receive through Luxer One.  
 
Hold Package Feature
If you are out of town for an extended period of time, you can put your package On Hold by selecting “Hold Package” when you get your notification. To do this, simply log in to your Luxer One account and select the day you would like your package held until. 
 
Security
The Luxer One lockers are monitored with video surveillance 24/7, so your package will always be secured safely.
