COVID-19 Update: Stay Home Order

3/24/2020

Dear Canal Station Community,

Below is the latest update following Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home” order for non-essential personnel.

Danny handles the bulk of custodial and sanitation services; he is an “essential employee.”  We have shifted away from dusting and vacuuming, and are focused on disinfecting surfaces and keeping up with trash/recycling and food waste.  Please be aware, he will be working in the early morning hours to limit the number of people with whom he interacts.  Do not be surprised if you don’t see him – he’s working hard for you!
  • For water leaks or overflowed toilets/sinks/dishwashers or washing machines, call the emergency maintenance line:  206.223.0721
  • If you have a plumbing or electrical emergency, please call a licensed, insured company.  There are several on the website under the "Who to Call" tab.  We do NOT recommend Beacon Plumbing, Southwest Plumbing
  • Crime, fire or medical emergencies, call 9-1-1 FIRST then the emergency maintenance line so managers may be aware of the situation.

Our Managers are both working from home.  We do not have access to the office phone lines from home.  We will come into the office for emergencies or previously scheduled moves.

  • If you require assistance from the office, EMAIL the office manager ( [email protected]); she will return email several times per day and maintain communication through
email blasts to keep you in the loop.  Brian will NOT have email access until his laptop arrives - send your question or need to Lana, she will try and get an answer for you.
  • Do you need a code generated for the parcel room?  EMAIL Lana the tracking number or call Luxer One's customer service line.
  • There are no elevator reservations outside of scheduled moves. You'll need to hang onto that book shelf or cabinet until the “Stay Home” order has been lifted.
  • Working with a vendor who needs keys?  Be sure to coordinate your own access.
  • Amenities remain closed until the Stay Home Order is lifted.

You can expect to see us for a few hours next Tuesday morning, when we reconvene to assess how this plan is working.  Until then, keep washing your hands and let us know if you need anything!
