Garage Door Etiquette

We have received increased complaints (including some license and space numbers) of people rushing the garage door, zooming past those waiting for it to close and/or yelling or honking to make the car in front move forward.

As there seems to be confusion regarding garage door etiquette, please use these guidelines:

• When entering the garage, please wait for the door to close or for the person behind you to use their remote to re-open the door before driving off.
• When leaving the garage, if you are the last or only vehicle, please wait for the garage to fully close before leaving.
• Please be patient and neighborly when others are trying to use these guidelines. 

To ensure all resident safety, please don’t confront any suspicious individuals; contact Seattle PD, then notify Canal Station’s management team.
